What is your job, and how long have you worked for ZITON?
I am an Authorised Technician working with major component exchange on wind turbines, and I have been with ZITON since 2023. My role involves planning and carrying out complex lifts and replacements of major components, making sure everything is done safely and efficiently.
What does it take to perform at your best in your job?
Safety is the most important thing for me and my team. To perform at my best, I focus on good planning, clear communication, and teamwork. Preparing each job properly and making sure everyone understands their role is key, especially when carrying out heavy lifts.
What is the most challenging part of the job for you?
The most challenging part is managing major component lifts in different conditions while keeping everything safe. Every job is different, so I need to stay focused, work hard, and be ready to adapt to any situation.
What motivates you to go to work every day?
I am motivated by working with a strong team and completing challenging jobs safely. It is a great feeling when a difficult lift goes to plan and the job is done right.
What do you think is the most remarkable or exciting case you have worked on? And why?
One of the coolest jobs I have worked on was on a Danish site, where we carried out a blade bearing exchange on a Siemens 2.3 turbine. It was a very specific and challenging job, and at one point we got stuck, but as a team, we worked through it together and successfully completed the task. That is what made it stand out, the teamwork and determination to get the job done safely.
How has your work developed you as a person?
Working at ZITON has helped me mature and calm down, especially in high-pressure situations. It has also made me more responsible and confident when it comes to safety and decision-making. I have developed strong teamwork and planning skills by working closely with experienced colleagues.
Why is this your dream job?
It is my dream workplace because I enjoy working in the wind industry and being part of major operations. ZITON offers challenging work, a strong safety culture, and a good team environment.
What do you like to spend your free time doing?
In my free time, I like going to the gym and swimming. I also train in mixed martial arts and enjoy playing poker. I love playing with my kids and spending quality time with them. I enjoy cooking with my partner and spending time together, and I love travelling whenever I get the chance.
