What is your job, and how long have you worked for ZITON?
I have had the pleasure of being part of ZITON since June 2022. As ESG Controller & BI Analyst, I work to create an overview of the company’s data and ensure that it is accurate and reliable, so that we can make decisions on a solid, data-driven foundation.
What does it take to perform at your best in your job?
I perform best when I have the freedom to find the most effective solution to a task myself, rather than simply carrying out the same manual process again and again. I am structured by nature, and I enjoy developing robust and validated systems that both I and my colleagues can rely on.
What is the most challenging part of the job for you?
The most challenging part is rarely the analysis itself, but getting data from different sources to align. Tracking down that kind of discrepancy requires patience, curiosity, and an eye for detail.
What motivates you to go to work every day?
What motivates me most is building tools and solutions that are genuinely useful to my colleagues and make their everyday work easier. There is something very satisfying about seeing a colleague save time and have a better working day because a heavy, manual task has been automated.
What do you think is the most remarkable or exciting case you have worked on? And why?
The coolest case is probably not one particular task, but rather the discovery of just how much can be automated with the help of AI and modern development tools. Many of the tedious and repetitive tasks I used to handle manually, I can now build automated solutions for in a short amount of time, without necessarily being an expert programmer. That has changed my approach to tasks, so that I now think in terms of automation far more than manual solutions.
How has your work developed you as a person?
ZITON has given me the freedom to experiment and get to know new tools. It has made me more self-driven, braver, and more solution-oriented. I have become better at turning an unclear or informal task into a structured and robust solution, and at taking ownership of projects that extend beyond my original area of responsibility.
Why is this your dream job?
ZITON is my dream workplace because I have the freedom to seek out and experiment with new tools and working methods myself, particularly within AI and automation. At the same time, I experience great support for spending time developing solutions that benefit both myself and my colleagues.
It is rare to have the opportunity to shape one’s own role to the extent that I have been able to at ZITON.
What do you like to spend your free time doing?
In my free time, I am very interested in investing. I follow the markets closely and spend time analysing and optimising my own portfolio. In addition, I enjoy building small technology projects, a kind of hobby development, where I can combine my interest in technology, AI, and problem-solving.
