WIND DISCOVERY returns to the North Sea

A new chapter begins

After an extensive voyage spanning around two months, WIND DISCOVERY has made her long-anticipated return to the North Sea. Departing from China, she has now reached her final destination – Port Esbjerg – where significant upgrades await her.

In Esbjerg, WIND DISCOVERY will undergo an extensive refurbishment and upgrade. The project includes a complete rebuild and modernisation of her accommodation and living quarters, ensuring state-of-the-art facilities that enhance both comfort and operational efficiency. This investment underscores ZITON’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards in offshore wind operations.

Strengthening offshore wind operations

Following her overhaul, WIND DISCOVERY is set to embark on a new chapter in her operational life. In the second quarter of the year, she will commence a long-term time charter with a key partner in the offshore wind sector. This partnership reaffirms ZITON’s role as a trusted service provider in the industry, supporting the ongoing expansion of sustainable energy projects.

The return of WIND DISCOVERY to the North Sea is more than just a homecoming – it is a testament to ZITON’s continuous drive for excellence and innovation in offshore wind maintenance. With upgraded capabilities and a renewed mission, she is ready to play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of offshore wind farms for years to come.
