DBB Jack-Up on course for growth in Offshore Wind O&M

DBB Jack-Up is expanding its fleet and service offerings to the offshore wind industry. With an office staff growth of 200% and offshore crew increase by 250%, DBB is well prepared for delivery of its next two jack-ups. DBB Jack-Up is focusing on the demanding operation and maintenance work, including major component replacements where crane jack-ups are needed.

The first delivery WIND PIONEER will be completed in August this year from the Orskov Yard in Frederikshavn. The jack-up will have a state-of-the-art Liebherr BOS-7500 crane installed, along with new thrusters and accommodations facilities.

The second delivery WIND SERVER is under construction at Nordic Yards in Germany with scheduled delivery for Q2 2014. A purpose-built vessels for O&M based on more than 10 years experience and hundreds of service operations within the industry. WIND SERVER will have the Liebherr BOS-14000 crane installed with 500 tons lifting capacity 96 meters above the vessels deck.

“All DBB Jack-Up’s vessels are fitted with Liebherr cranes for easy maintenance and spares management across the fleet” explains Thorsten Jalk, CEO at DBB Jack-Up Services A/S. “We have been preparing for this growth and we are excited to bring the first dedicated O&M jack-ups to our clients – they are designed together with industry to support future demands.”

  • Length 80 meters, Breadth 32 meters
  • Operational water depth of 45 meters
