ISO & OHSAS certifications in place

In addition to the company’s quality management system being certified to the ISO 9001 standard in May 2014, DBB Jack-Up is proud to confirm that the company’s environmental management system has now been certified to the ISO 14001 standard and its health and safety system has been certified to the OHSAS 18001 standard.

ISO 14001 is the world’s most recognised environmental standard and the certification is a demonstration of DBB Jack-Up’s commitment to help protect the environment. Furthermore, with the ISO 14001 system in place, DBB Jack-Up has the framework to meet the increasingly high customer expectations for corporate responsibility as well as legal and regulatory requirements.

OHSAS 18001 is an occupational health and safety management system aimed at reducing workplace hazards. DBB Jack-Up’s certification to this standard stresses the company’s commitment to the well-being of its employees, customers and other co-operation partners.

Bureau Veritas assisted DBB Jack-Up in getting certified to the ISO and OHSAS standards. “It was a three-month process, and DBB Jack-Up passed with flying colours. We examined their vessels, their software and even their office environment to make sure they were in compliance,” said John Meyer, lead auditor at Bureau Veritas.
