Accident on board WIND PIONEER

DBB Jack-Up Services confirms the occurrence of an accident during a scheduled fire drill on board WIND PIONEER Saturday 2016-02-20. The injured person suffered a laceration to his right shin, seemingly caused by a fire hose being pressurized.

The injured person was transferred to the site CTV and subsequently transferred to a coast guard helicopter, which took him to Colchester Hospital. After being treated at Colchester he has now been discharged.

The accident was reported to the British and Danish authorities and a root-cause investigation is initiated to determine the root-causes of the accident and to define preventive actions.
